Hvem står bak

Trivsel is a private, invite-only app for learning Norwegian, run by a private person in Norway. That person is responsible for your data (the data controller).

Hva vi lagrer

Your account: your email address, an optional display name, and when you signed in.

Your settings: course, language, time zone, daily goal and new words per day.

Your learning: the chapters and parts you mark Ferdig, where you were in a chapter, your flashcard reviews and ratings, words flagged as weak, listening progress, your reading position and notes in the library, and your daily activity, streak and XP.

Your tests: every Prøve attempt, with the questions, your answers and your score.

Feedback you send with Tilbakemelding, with the page or card it was about.

If you have a mentor or are one: who is paired with whom, and the notes a mentor writes about a mentee. A mentor's notes are visible only to that mentor.

If you are an admin: the role and pairing changes you make are logged.

In your browser: a sign-in cookie, a cookie with your course, and a few local conveniences such as unsent test answers. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Hvorfor

Only to run Trivsel for you: to sign you in, save your progress, schedule your reviews, and let your mentor follow you if you have one. Your data is not sold or used for advertising.

The legal basis is that the data is needed to provide the service you chose to use (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).

Hvem ser dataene

You see your own data in the app.

Your mentor, if you have one, sees your practice, listening, reading position and test results, but not your library notes.

Admins see your email address, name and roles, to manage who has access.

The operator can reach the database to keep the app running.

Databehandlere

Supabase stores the database, sign-in and files. The servers are in Seoul, South Korea, behind Cloudflare's network.

DigitalOcean runs the app's servers, in Singapore.

Resend sends the sign-in emails, so your email address passes through it (USA).

These countries are outside the EU/EEA. The transfers rely on the providers' data processing terms, which include the EU standard contractual clauses.

Hvor lenge

Your data is kept as long as you have an account. When you delete the account, everything listed above is deleted at once. The admin log keeps only that a role changed for an account id, not your name or email.

Our providers keep their own server logs for a short time (days to weeks) and then delete them.

Dine rettigheter

You can see most of your data in the app, and you can delete your account and all your data yourself in Profil → Personvern.

For a copy of your data, a correction, or any question about your privacy, use Tilbakemelding in the app, or ask the person who invited you.

You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).

Endringer

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
